Keratosis pilaris
Keratosis Pilaris
Treatment plans now available for $75 a week
Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common and harmless skin condition, often described as “chicken skin,” due to its rough, bumpy texture. It usually appears on the upper arms, thighs, cheeks, or buttocks and is not typically painful or itchy.
At Blush, we use Alkaline pH Revision and DMK Enzyme Therapy to effectively smooth and refine the skin’s texture. To support and maintain your in-clinic results, we prescribe a tailored DMK homecare routine, including:
Revitosin– a vitamin A-based formulation to regulate cell turnover
Calerase– to gently exfoliate and remove the excess cuticle buildup
With the right treatment plan and consistency, soft, smooth skin is absolutely achievable.
FAQ
What is KP?
Keratosis pilaris is a very common skin condition that causes small, rough bumps on the skin. It occurs when dead skin cells build up and block the hair follicles, giving the skin an uneven, rough texture. The affected area can sometimes appear red, dry, or flaky. Keratosis pilaris can occur anywhere on the body but is most commonly seen on the upper arms.
What does the treatment involve
The DMK KP Treatment consists of alkaline skin revision to swell, soften and dissolve keratin build-up, improve circulation, and restore skin function. This is followed by enzymatic therapy, transepidermal serums, and targeted body products to smooth texture, reduce congestion, and strengthen the skin barrier.
Who can have treatment
Suitable for most clients with keratosis pilaris or rough, congested body skin. A consultation is required prior to treatment. Not suitable during pregnancy/breastfeeding, Roaccutane/Isotretinoin use, or with active infections, open lesions, or highly sensitised skin.
How many treatments will I need?
Every client is different, but we typically recommend a minimum of 4–6 treatments for the most effective approach, our Transform Treatment Plan is designed to address KP concerns in a structured, results-driven way. It’s also cost-effective and includes 10% off all home-care products, which are essential when undergoing skin revision.
Can I just have the treatment and not use the homecare
In-clinic treatments initiate correction by removing and rebuilding the skin, while home care is essential to protect, maintain, and support results between treatments. For effective and long-term correction of KP, both must work together to get optimal results.
