What Is the Cosmelan Peel?

The Cosmelan Peel addresses skin discolorations such as melasma, sun spots, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and acne scars. It combines multiple active ingredients—including azelaic acid, kojic acid, phytic acid, arbutin, and vitamin C—that inhibit melanin production by targeting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is essential in melanin synthesis. This dual-action approach not only reduces existing pigmentation but also regulates melanin production to prevent future dark spots.

What to Expect on your Cosmelan Journey at Blush

  • Step 1: Skin Conditioning Phase

    We begin with a guided at-home routine using a gentle yet effective retinoid to prep your skin skinretin. This step enhances treatment tolerance and kickstarts cell turnover, creating the perfect canvas for your professional peel.

  • Step 2: In-Clinic Skin Prep Treatment

    Two weeks in, you'll receive a professional exfoliating treatment in-clinic to further refine the skin and accelerate pigment lifting. This step boosts the efficacy of the Cosmelan peel to follow.

  • Step 3: Cosmelan® Peel Application

    On Day 28, your professional-strength Cosmelan mask is applied in-clinic. You'll wear it for several hours before removing it at home. This is the main depigmenting action—deeply targeting the source of excess melanin production. You'll also be given a skincare pack with professional-grade homecare products and detailed instructions to follow for the next 3 months.

  • Step 4: Healing & Support

    Day 30 you'll return for a light therapy session (Healite) to accelerate skin recovery and reduce inflammation. We also check in on your progress to ensure everything is on track. One month later you will return for another check in and unwind to Signature 60 to heal and hydrate. This is when we would compare your progress and curate a plan to maintain your results.

Your 60 day program

Day 1- Start using Skinretin 0.3% at home until day 28 combined with a DMK essential pack

Day 14- In clinic Prep peel

Day 28- Cosmelan peel application, Stays on skin for 8 hours. Your given another skincare pack for the next 3 months.

Day 30- Healite and check in

Day 35 - Start using cosmelan 2 ( 7 days post cosmelan)

Day 60- Check in and a signature 60 facial to help heal and hydrate.
